How Hottest Photo works

Hottest Photo is Unonight's monthly photo contest. You vote with one 🔥 flame — one positive vote per photo. There is no thumbs up, thumbs down or negative vote. You can give one flame to each photo you like. You cannot flame your own photo, and you cannot give more than one flame to the same photo. Monthly winners are selected automatically at month end, separately for Men, Women and Couples. Point prizes are paid automatically. Yearly winners are selected automatically at year end from normalized hot-scores of monthly first-place winners. In the last 24 hours before close, flame totals may be hidden. Serious safety flags can hold a single category for review — points are not paid until cleared. Ties are broken by unique voters, then timing, then a deterministic server tie-break.
